Confidential & Professional Paranormal investigations for your peace of mind
Investigation Type: Private Residence
Location: Fulton County, KY
Claims: Apparitions, unexplained voices, feelings of being touched, unexplained noises, feelings of uneasiness throughout the home, doors being moved, unexplained footsteps, the unexplained shaking of furniture
In May 2010, KTP was contacted by a homeowner in Fulton County, KY. The clients reported what they believed to be paranormal activity occurring in their home. Matt and Chris conducted an initial interview with the client and were given the details of the activity as well as a tour of the home. After the initial consultation, a date and time was agreed upon for KTP to conduct a full investigation at the site.
Two days later, KTP arrived at the site at 7:30pm and began the investigation by setting up night vision cameras in the home where activity has been reported. This included in the master bedroom, the stairway, the cellar door that was reported to unlock by itself, and the upstairs hallway where unexplained footsteps had been heard. We also deployed the wireless audio. At 8:30 pm, we went “Lights Out” and began the investigation.
Matt and Chris started the investigation in the home by conducting EMF and EVP sessions. During this time, they also attempted to debunk the claims of the cellar door unlocking, the furniture shaking, and the reports of knocking on a closet door. While conducting an EVP session in the living room, the couch began to vibrate while Chris was sitting on it. It was noted by Matt that a train could be heard moving by in the general area. After several more instances throughout the night of the furniture shaking, and it being noted that the sounds of a train could be heard, it was deduced by Matt and Chris that the vibration of the furniture could be recreated by the vibration caused by the trains. The knocking on the closet door was next in line for us to try and find a rational explanation for. During our experimenting with the door, several times we were able to close the door, and have it move back out on it’s own due to the combination of heavy winter clothes pressing against it and the older style latch on the door. All of this was captured on mini DV to show to the clients. We then moved on to the cellar door and tried to make the door unlock or unlatch on it’s own. However, no matter what we attempted, the latch would not move without actually being touched. After over an hour in the home, Matt and Chris exited the site.
Christie, Jenny, and Lisa then entered the home and conducted EVP and K2 sessions in both the living areas and the upstairs. High EMF was found along the upstairs hallway. No personals experiences were had during their time in the home and after an hour, the ladies exited the home. At this time, it was decided to move one of our cameras from the cellar door into the living room. After moving the camera, a mini DV was utilized at the cellar door location in an attempt to capture any movement of the clasp or door.
Chris and Matt reentered the home and went to the cellar. During this time, it was noted that there was an abundance of mold on the ceiling and walls. This was a concern that we would bring to the clients due to the heath risks that mold can cause. After conducting several sessions, Matt and Chris returned to the upstairs living area. During their time in the living room, Chris reported seeing what looked like a mist forming along one side of the couch. Matt did not experience this. At one point, Matt got up from the chair he was sitting in and opened a door that leads into a storage area. Just after this area was disturbed, both investigators heard a loud bump and then a shadow was seen by Matt moving across the hallway from the bathroom into a spare bedroom. Matt and Chris went to the bedroom to try and find the shadow, but could not find anything that might explain the experience. Just after they arrived in the bedroom area, both investigators experienced the sound of footstep coming from the unoccupied upstairs. Chasing the sounds upstairs, no one was found and no further footsteps were noted.
Several more hours of investigating was conducted, with no further personal experiences. At 3:15am, the decision was made to start breaking down and at 3:45am the investigation was concluded.
Findings and Conclusions: Over the course of the investigation, 28 hours of video was captured on the DVR system, with another 5 hours of video on mini DV. Over 18 hours of digital audio was recorded and 90 digital still pictures were taken. After going over the evidence, several unexplained noises and EVPs were found. We found no evidence on the recorded video, or in the digital photos. We were also able to produce reasonable explanations for the furniture shaking and the unexplained knocking coming from the closet door. Even though several intriguing pieces of evidence were captured, there is not enough evidence for KTP to label this site as haunted at this time.
Investigation Type: Follow-up
Location: Obion County, TN
Claims: Apparitions, unexplained voices, feelings of being touched
In April 2010, KTP performed a follow-up investigation in Obion County, TN. Occupants of the site had reported on-going apparition sightings as well as unexplained voices and being touched. KTP was invited back to the site by the residents to further investigate this site.
KTP arrived at the site around 7:30pm and started the investigation by setting up 3 night vision cameras in the home and an additional camera in the barn. We also used wireless audio in the home and barn. After setting up our equipment, we began the investigation at 8:45pm.
Matt and Cory started the investigation in the home, while Christie and Jenny began in the barn. During this first session, Cory and Matt both experienced an unexplained shadow moving across the hallway in the same manner that the client had experienced. An abnormal energy ribbon was captured on the DVR system at the exact moment this experience occurred. After conducting over an hour of EVP sessions, Matt and Cory exited the home and returned to central command. Christie and Jenny had also conducted over an hour of EVP sessions in the barn, but reported no personal experiences.
The teams then switched areas, with Christie and Jenny entering the home and Cory and Matt making the 1/4 mile trek to the private cemetery on the site. While Cory and Matt were in the cemetery, they conducted EVP and K2 sessions as well as deploying a new piece of equipment, the Ghost Box. The Ghost Box is a modified transistor radio that constantly scans radio frequencies. The theory behind this equipment is that spirits can use the energy and white noise of the radio to communicate in real time with the investigators. During one of the sessions, Matt asked the question, “Can you please tell us your name?” Both Cory and Matt heard the response of “David”. The question was asked again in an effort to validate the experience, and again the response “David” occurred. This was the only response we received during the use of the box during the investigation. And even though we had digital voice recorders and mini DV cameras rolling, the wind caused distortion to the recorded audio and the response cannot be heard on any of our recordings. After a additional 1-½ hours, Matt and Cory met up with Christie and Jenny at central command. Jenny and Christie reported no personal experiences during their time in the home.
KTP was on site for an additional 3 hours, but no further personal experiences occurred, and at 2am, we went “lights on” and called the investigation.
Findings and Conclusions: Over the course of the investigation, 22 hours of video was captured on the DVR system, with another 3 hours of video on mini DV. Over 14 hours of digital audio was recorded and 60 digital still pictures were taken. After going over all of the evidence, we found the strange energy ribbon on the DVR system that occurred at the same time that the shadow was seen in the hallway. We also captured two different EVP’s from the wireless audio in the barn when no members of the KTP team were present. We also had the experience of the reply “David” in the cemetery, but due to the distorted audio, we can only call this a personal experience. During KTP’s earlier investigation on this site, we concluded that this site is indeed “Haunted”. After performing a follow-up, we believe that this site does indeed have paranormal activity occurring.
Investigation Type: Private Residence
Location:
Claims: Unexplained shadows, doors opening and closing by themselves, unexplained footsteps, feelings of being watched, feelings of being touched
December, 2009
Due to KTP’s conclusion that this particular case is on-going and of a sensitive nature, no further details will be published at this time.
Investigation Type: Private Residence
Location:
Claims: Unexplained banging and noises, feelings of being watched, unexplained shadows, feelings of being touched, full bodied apparitions.
On November 28, 2009, KTP conducted an investigation of a private residence located in Fulton County Kentucky. The owners of the home reported unexplained noises and bangs in the kitchen, seeing unexplained shadows, the feelings of being touched and grabbed and experiencing a full body apparition. The property consisted of the primary residence and a storage building with an attached apartment. The apparition of a man had been reported in the apartment.
KTP arrived at the site around 7:30pm and conducted interviews and toured the site with the homeowner. We began setting up equipment at 9:00 pm and went “lights out” at 9:50pm.
Matt and Chris began the night in the primary residence, and conducted EVP sessions as well as baseline EMF readings. During this time, high levels of EMF were found in the living room area, as well as the kitchen. There were also several instances where the investigators had trouble keeping their balance in the living room area of the home, almost as if they were being pushed to the side. It was determined that the house is very uneven on this side of the residence. This creates what’s known as a “Fun House Effect”. No personal experiences were felt during this time.
Jenny and Christie investigated the apartment during the same timeframe. Again, EVP and EMF sessions were conducted with no personal experiences being recorded. After an hour, the investigators switched places, with Lisa and Cory heading into the apartment, Christie and Jenny investigating the home, and Matt and Chris manning home base.
Over the next 4 hours, KTP continued the investigative process by changing up the areas being covered and by also switching up the individual teams in an effort to blanket the site.
At 2:20am, the call was made to begin breaking down our equipment and at 2:50am, KTP concluded the investigation.
Findings and Conclusions: Over the course of the investigation, by using 4 IR cameras, KTP recorded over 18 hours of video. We also collected 6 hours of audio and over 100 digital pictures. During the evidence review, we found no instances of anything paranormal on DVR. There were no EVP’s found on any of the audio. We believe that the high EMF readings combined with the unevenness of the floor is contributing to the feelings of uneasiness in the home. Due to the fact that we were unable to collect any hard evidence on the DVR or digital recordings, combined with the absence of any personal experiences, KTP cannot at this time denote this site as haunted.

On October 17, 2009, Ken-Tenn Paranormal had the honor of conducted an investigation of the
KTP arrived at the library around 6:30pm and conducted an initial walkthrough of the site. An initial interview was conducted by Matt and Lisa, while Chris, Jenny, Cory, and Christie began setting IR cameras and wireless audio up in the various ‘hot spots” shown to us on the walkthrough. On this investigation, we utilized 4 IR cameras, 4 digital voice recorders, several EMF and

At 9:45pm, Lisa, Jenny, and Christie made their way to the third floor to begin the investigation. While there, several different EVP sessions and
At 11:15pm, Cory, Matt and Chris entered the main floor and began initial EVP sessions. They were also interested in trying to “debunk” the feelings of being watched and the sounds of books being moved. While on the main floor, Matt saw what appeared to be a shadow moving behind the bookshelves. After giving chase, it was determined that the shadow was caused by light from outside filtering in through the blinds and in between the books on the shelves, giving the appearance of the shadow moving. Several areas of high EMF were found in the back of the library and also around the main desk area. While an EVP session was being held, Chris began hearing what sounded like the books in the east area of the library being moved. This was one of the claims that had been related to KTP at the onset of our investigation. The team moved toward the sounds. The closer we got to the area, the louder the noises became! After arriving in the area, Cory and Chris discovered that an air duct was directly above the area. After further investigation, the sounds of the air moving through the ductwork sounded exactly like plastic being crinkled, especially when further away from the immediate area. It was determined that this natural noise was the source of the unexplained book moving sounds and this experience was now considered debunked!
Matt, Chris and Cory then made their way to the second floor and conducted EVP and
While on the third floor, more investigation was conducted in the staircase area. More recordings of EMF fluctuations were experienced. There was also a personal experience had by all members of the team where a shuffling or footstep was heard coming from the bathroom in the area when no one was in the room. Unfortunately, no evidence of these footsteps was picked up by our recording devices. At 12:30am, Matt, Cory and Chris returned to home base to regroup with the rest of our team.
At 12:45am, Matt and Jenny returned to the third floor while the rest of KTP entered the main floor with Carrie and Amanda (guest investigators) tagging along. EVP sessions were conducted in both areas during this time. Also during this time, Jenny and Matt were attempting to “provoke” responses in the “room to nowhere”. (Provoking is used by our investigators in an attempt to force a response from spirits on the site.) During the time when Matt and Jenny were using provoking methods, Carrie, who was on the ground floor, reported several feelings of being touched. Matt and Jenny did not have any personal experiences while on the third floor. Matt and Jenny returned to command at 2am. The rest of KTP returned to base at approximately 2:15.
It was then decided to continue our efforts to locate the sources of the high EMF readings that were recurring throughout the building. Several members of the team returned to the main floor, and also investigated outside attempting to locate the source. During our sweep, it was found that all of the non-electrical piping in the library was giving off levels of high EMF. It was then determined that at some point in the past, some of the electrical wiring in the building had most likely been grounding using the piping in the building. This grounding is causing dormant appliances such as the radiators in the building to give off EMF. The grounding is also causing EMF to be recorded throughout the building! Having made a “breakthrough” during our search for the cause of the EMF readings in the library, the team returned to command to regroup with the rest of our team. At approximately 3:00am, having been on site for over 8 hours, the decision was made to break down our equipment and wrap the investigation.
Findings and Conclusions: During the course of our investigation, KTP recorded over 25 hours of video on our IR cameras/DVR system and on our mini dv cameras. We also recorded over 10 hours of audio using digital voice recorders. We are able to debunk the reports of sounds of books being moved on the main floor due to the finding of the air vent sounds in the experience area. We also feel that the feelings of being watched are being caused by the levels of EMF we located throughout the building. (High EMF can cause feelings of being watched, headaches, etc., when the person is exposed to the higher levels for a long period of time.) We did experience several odd smells, but there are air fresheners used in the building, so we must dismiss these smells as natural without further evidence. Several of our team members did hear a shuffling of footsteps on the third floor, but no sound was recorded of this experience.
While going over the evidence collected, KTP did catch 2 Class C EVP’s. (Class C EVP’s are random voices or sounds/noises that are too faint to fully understand)
After going over all of our collected evidence and relating to all personal experiences, it is the opinion of Ken-Tenn Paranormal that more investigation must be done at the Fulton Public Library before a full determination can be made to it’s paranormal activity status. Therefore, we must label this investigation as “INCONCLUSIVE”.

Investigation Type: Private Residence
Location:
Claims: Unexplained odors, lights turning on and new bulbs blowing out constantly, an unexplained voice, an apparition of a woman has been seen, homeowner being touched.
On August 7, 2009, KTP conducted an investigation of a private residence located in Obion County Tennessee. The owners of the home reported unexplained odors, a bedroom light had turned on with no explanation, new light bulbs were constantly blowing after only a few days, unexplained voices, and an apparition of a woman had been seen. The property consisted of the primary residence, a barn, and a private cemetery. The homeowners felt that most, if not all, of the activity was due to the cemetery located on the property. The cemetery had not been used since the 1920’s, with some graves dating back to the 1880’s. The barn has been the source of an unexplained voice of what was described as a small child or young girl.
KTP arrived at the site around 7:30pm. The homeowners first led us to the cemetery, which is located in a wooded area around 1/8 mile from the home. We marked the trail to the cemetery and then returned to the residence for a preliminary interview session with the homeowner followed by a tour of the residence. Around 9:00pm, we began setting up our IR cameras in the living room facing down the hallway where the female apparition had been seen, the master bedroom where the ceiling light had turned on by itself and one of the residents felt like she had been touched, the bathroom where the female apparition had been seen, and the barn. We also used wireless audio equipment in the barn in an attempt to record the sound of the child’s voice. At approximately 9:20, we went “lights out” and started our investigation. Two of the residents of the home decided to “tag along” with us during the investigation.
Chris and Matt were the first team in the home and began the investigation with baseline EMF and temperature readings. During this session, no high EMF readings or abnormal temperatures were experienced. Baseline readings ranged from .01 to .04 and the temperatures remained in the 74-78 degree range.
After the baseline reading session, the members of KTP split up and started the full investigation. Matt, Chris and the residents journeyed to the cemetery, Christie and Lisa entered the home, and Jenny and Cory headed to the barn. EVP and
While visiting the cemetery, Matt, Chris, and the residents all witnessed several instances of unexplained shadows moving around them. There was no wind at the time that would have caused shadows by moving tree branches. No hits were recorded on the
While conducting EVP sessions inside the home, one of our investigators felt like their flashlight had been gently tugged from their hand while sitting on the bed. They tried to recreate the experience by dragging the light over the comforter, but the comforter was smooth and the experience could not be recreated during the investigation. This experience was later debunked during the viewing of the IR footage, as the loop on the end of the light had actually snagged on the comforter, causing the light to slide out of the investigator’s fingers.
Having completed the initial investigation of the barn, Jenny and Cory had returned to central command and were watching the camera feeds. During this time, it was noted by Jenny that the EMF meter appeared to slide a couple of inches while sitting on the bed with no one around it. She noted the time and special attention was given this time slot during the evidence go-over. This experience was also debunked during the go-over, as one of our team members has actually sat down on the corner of the bad, causing the meter to slide. You could only see the investigator sit down when the video was viewed by itself on the full screen. The investigator could not be seen while using the 4-panel viewing system.
At approximately 11:00, all team members regrouped at central command. While viewing the camera feeds, Matt noticed that a rope in the barn was swinging in an abnormal pattern. The entire team began watching the screen, and all members were able to see the rope swing. There was no noticeable wind at the time. Cory went to the barn to check out the rope. As he entered the barn, the rope stopped swinging and did not swing at any time he was present. After checking out the rope and its surroundings, Cory returned to central. As Cory was rejoining the team, the rope began swinging once again. This time, Chris and Jenny took the Sony handheld and went to the barn to try and get a closer look. As Chris entered the barn, the rope once again stopped swinging. Chris reported that he felt no wind moving through the barn that could cause the rope to move. It was decided that Jenny would remain in the barn when Chris left to attempt to capture the rope moving and to try to debunk the experience.
At 11:20, Christie, Cory, Lisa, and one of the residents returned to the cemetery. At the same time, Chris, Matt, and the other resident entered the home. The team in the cemetery conducted EVP and
At 12:00 midnight, the teams again switched areas. Matt and Chris retuned to the cemetery with Jenny, while the rest of the team split up into the home and barn. None of the members at the barn or home had any personal experiences during this time. However, the time in the cemetery yielded some surprising results.
Jenny, Chris and Matt were conducting EVP and
Findings and Conclusions: Over the course of the investigation, by using 4 IR cameras, KTP recorded over 20 hours of video. We also collected 9 hours of audio and over 150 digital pictures. We had no experiences with any strange odors, and did not see or video the female apparition. While viewing the footage, we were able do debunk the personal experiences of the flashlight being tugged and of the EMF meter moving on the bed. We were also able to debunk the swinging rope in the barn by syncing up the wireless audio with the camera feed. By listening to the audio, we could actually hear wind noise recorded by the digital recorder that we could not feel while on site. The experiences with the flashlight were ruled to be equipment malfunction, due to the light simply coming on and staying on instead of flickering or going on and off.
We were able to find 8 different audio clips that contained EVP’s that ranged from whispers, knocks, the sound of gasping for breath, and two clearly audible voices in the barn. Upon revealing our finding to the clients, it was confirmed by the residents that one of the voices recorded in the barn is the same voice they have heard in the past. We were also able to film the
Due to the personal experiences our investigators had, combined with the evidence we were able to collect, it is the belief of KTP that this site is experiencing paranormal activity.
Investigation Type: Private Residence

Activity: Unexplained moving shadows, bumps, knocks and other noises, stations on the radio changing by themselves
On July 3, 2009, Ken-Tenn Paranormal investigated a private residence in
KTP arrived at the home around 9:00pm and conducted an initial walkthrough of the home. At around 9:30, we began setting up our equipment. On this investigation, we utilized 3 IR cameras. One camera was set up in the bedroom where the noises were reported, one in the living room area that could also capture the area of the kitchen where the shadows were being seen, and one in a spare bedroom that is being used for storage. Wireless audio was used in the kitchen area.
At approximately 10:15pm, Matt and Chris started the investigation with an initial base reading tour of the home. Using digital EMF,
At 10:35pm, the team of Lisa, Christie and Chris entered the residence for the first EVP and
At 11:45pm, Jenny and Matt entered the home to begin
While the team was giving the home a “rest”, Chris and Matt walked the perimeter of the home to attempt to debunk the noises being heard in the bedroom. It was their opinion that the noises could be caused by some type of animal or rodent that was getting under the home. Upon inspection of the house, a good sized space was found in the corner of the home’s foundation that showed signs of animal intrusion. The space was directly adjacent to the bedroom where the noises were being heard by the resident. It did appear that the noises could very well be caused by animals and/or rodents.
At 1:10am, Chris, Lisa and Christie re-entered the home for another round of investigation. EVP sessions were conducted over the next 30 minutes with no personal experiences. Chris did discover a pocket of high EMF in the living room that was generated from a power strip located beside the couch. The EMF was off the charts readings of 64.1-86.0. This pocket of high EMF was located in the area where the resident of the home was usually sitting when the unexplained shadows are seen. Around 1:50am, Christie exited the home and Matt re-entered. Chris and Matt turned on the radio to see if the station would change on its own. This experiment lasted approximately 15 minutes. The radio station never changed and at 2:15am, the decision was made to wrap up the investigation.
Findings and Conclusions: During this investigation, KTP recorded 9 hours of video using 3 cameras. We also recorded over 5 hours of audio using digital voice recorders and wireless audio. We were able to debunk the noises in the bedroom due to animals/rodents being able to enter the area under the home. It is also the opinion of KTP that the extremely high EMF detected in the living room is attributing to the feelings of seeing shadows moving around the living room and kitchen.
After going over all recorded evidence, no instances of paranormal activity were found. We found no EVP’s and had no personal experiences in the home. Due to the lack of evidence pointing toward anything paranormal, KTP must label this residence as “Not Haunted”.
Investigation Type: Private Residence
Location: Graves County, KY
Claims: Unexplained shadows, disembodied voices, unexplained noises and rattles
On May 29, 2009, KTP conducted an investigation of a private residence located in Graves County Kentucky. The owners of the home had reported seeing unexplained shadows, hearing voices, and various unexplained noises, including the sound of the handles on an antique buffet table being flipped when no one was in the room with the buffet. They also reported that their daughter had strange feelings in her bedroom. This particular claim was very important to us at KTP, due to the fact that a child was being affected.
KTP arrived at the site around 8:30pm and started the investigation with a preliminary interview session with the homeowner followed by a tour of the residence. Around 10:00pm, we began deploying our IR cameras into the living room where the shadows had been seen, the dining room where the buffet table was located, and the girl’s bedroom. We also used wireless audio equipment in the dining room in an attempt to record the sounds of the buffet table handles being flipped. At approximately 10:40, we went “lights out” and started our investigation.
Chris and Matt were the first team in the home and began the investigation with baseline EMF and temperature readings. During this session, several areas of high EMF were detected in the living room area where the buffet table is located. The EMF ranged from 4.0 to 16.4. No abnormal EMF was detected in the living room, or the residence’s master bedroom. However, when the EMF meters were used in the daughter’s bedroom, a reading of 84.0 was read in the area where the girl’s headboard sits. There was a power strip with computer equipment and other devices plugged into the power strip. This high EMF is dangerous, as high EMF can cause feelings of paranoia, skin rashes, headaches, and nausea. Notes were made by Matt and Chris to notify the owners of this high EMF reading so that they could take action to remove this potential hazard from the home.
After the initial EMF session, Chris and Matt conducted an EVP and K2 session in the living room and girl’s bedroom. No personal experiences were had during these sessions. At around 11:45pm, Matt and Chris left the home to allow the rest of the team to conduct their initial sessions.
At 11:55pm, Lisa, Christie and Jenny entered the residence and entered the living room. Using a digital voice recorder and a flashlight, they conducted a question and answer session. They were using a push-button flashlight with the back slightly unscrewed to allow the light to be operated using very little pressure on the button. During the course of the session, the flashlight was filmed turning on without being touched by any of the KTP team present in the room. This occurred several different times over a course of 10 minutes. This is an experiment that KTP uses on all of our investigations, but this was the first time this had occurred more than once during a session. After the EVP session in the living room, the ladies of KTP moved to the girl’s bedroom and conducted an EVP session. No personal experiences occurred during this second session. At approximately 12:45am, Jenny, Christie and Lisa exited the home and concluded their initial investigation.
While the ladies had been in the home, Chris and Matt had talked to the homeowner about going into the residence with them for the next sessions. The homeowner was enthusiastic about going in with the KTP team so at 1:00am Matt, Chris, and the homeowner entered the home. Matt stayed in the dining room area, while the homeowner and Chris entered the living room. An EVP and K2 session was begun in the living room. At 1:17am, Chris requested that Matt come into the living room with the thermometer to check a temperature change. As Matt came into the room, the owner’s outside dogs began to bark. The homeowner remarked that that was unusual and at the same moment, the door in the NE corner of the room swung open by itself! This is a door that leads outside and had been checked prior to the investigation to make sure it was latched. Matt walked over to the door to check if anyone was outside that could have opened the door, but there was no one there, and all other member of KTP were at the other end of the home and were accounted for during this time. Around 2 minutes later, we started getting responses to our questions on the K2 meter. The great thing about these personal experiences is the fact that the homeowner was present for all of these occurrences. There were also several times when a shadow was seen by Matt moving around the bedroom and dining room area during these EVP sessions. At 2:20am, the homeowner, Chris and Matt left the home to allow the other KTP members another chance.
At 2:30, Jenny and Christie entered the home and conducted EVP sessions. These sessions lasted until 3:10am, but no other experiences occurred. At 3:20am, we concluded our investigation and packed up our equipment. We assured the homeowner we would go over all of our collected evidence and get back to them quickly.
Findings and Conclusions: Over the course of the investigation, by using 4 IR cameras, KTP recorded over 17 hours of video. We also collected 7 hours of audio. During the evidence analysis, we were able to see that the flashlight incident and several of the K2 hits had been captured on video. We also found several EVP’s on digital audio. One of the EVP’s was a whisper that was recorded in the daughter’s bedroom that sounds like a male voice. The other EVP was recorded on the wireless audio in the dining room and occurred around 9 minutes after the door had opened by itself during the session with Matt, Chris and the homeowner. This EVP is of a female laughing. There were no female members of KTP in the home at the time. This has been verified by syncing the audio to the video. Matt, Chris or the homeowner did not hear the sound of the female laugh when it occurred. The camera’s in the living room were not setup to contain a shot of the door that opened on it’s own, so we have to classify this occurrence as just a personal experience.
While researching the property, Cory and Chris were able to find out that the home is built in an area that contains limestone deposits. This is interesting to KTP, as there is a popular theory that states that limestone can act as a catalyst for paranormal activity, especially residual hauntings. This might help explain the sounds of the buffet table handles, as well as some of the voices heard in the home. Also, we notified the homeowners of the high EMF readings and recommended that they change things around to get rid of this potentially harmful environment.
Even though we had many personal experiences during this investigation, and caught a couple of solid EVP’s, it is the conclusion of Ken-Tenn Paranormal that this site requires more investigation before a decision of “haunted/not haunted” can be reached. The KTP team will be returning to this site to conduct further investigations in the near future. We are keeping in contact with the homeowners on a weekly basis.
Investigation Type: Rural Public Cemetery
Location: Fulton County, KY
Claims: Shadow ghost sightings, unexplained lights and noises
On May 16, 2009, KTP asked for and received permission to investigate a rural public cemetery in Fulton County, KY. We had heard stories of shadow ghost sightings and tales of unexplained lights and noises occurring after dark and wanted to see if we could either debunk or validate the stories using our equipment.
KTP arrived at the site around 9:30pm and started the investigation by deploying into three teams of two. Using digital cameras, digital voice recorders and our EMF and K2 meters, we spread out into the far corners of the cemetery and conducted EVP sessions for approximately 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, we regrouped at the vehicles to discuss our experiences and switch our locations at the site. No personal experiences were reported during this initial time frame.
After switching areas in the cemetery, we began our second sessions of EVP, while also using the rest of our equipment as before. This session lasted for approximately 45 minutes. During this session, Chris and Matt were investigating the Southeast corner of the cemetery when both witnessed a shadow that appeared to be watching them. When Chris gave chase, the shadow darted away. Neither of the investigators knew at the time what the other had witnessed. It was only after the group reconvened at the vehicles that the experience was related to the other members of KTP in separate groups. After this reveal to the other members, Matt and Chris learned that they had both experienced the same thing. Reveling information in this way helped to validate the experience.
The investigative groups again switched areas of the cemetery and began EVP session three. During this third session, Christie and Jenny had several hits on the K2 meter during their session. Matt and Chris also experienced several strange light anomalies. After around 45 minutes, the members again met up at “command central”. Jenny and Christie related the K2 hits to the rest of the group, so it was agreed that we would all go check out the area where they had gotten the responses and then to head to the area where Matt and Chris had experienced the shadow earlier in the night.
As a group, KTP returned to the area where Christie and Jenny had gotten the K2 hits. A 20-minute EVP/ K2 session was conducted. No further K2 responses were experienced during this session. KTP then returned to the area where Chris and Matt had seen the shadow figure. The situation was explained to the rest of the group and was also re-enacted by Matt and Chris. An EVP session was held during this time as well, but no further visits from the shadow figure was recorded.
Around 1:45am, the investigation was concluded.
Findings and Conclusions: Over the course of the investigation, over 200 digital pictures were taken, and over 4 hours of digital audio recorded. After going over all of the collected data, it was concluded that no anomalies were caught on camera and no EVP’s were captured on audio. We did have the personal experiences of the K2 meter hits and the shadow figure seen. Due to no concrete evidence being captured, it has been decided by KTP that this investigation is inconclusive and that more investigation is required before making a determination.
Investigation Type: Private Residence
Location: Hickman, KY
Clients claims: Toys moving on their own, sounds of footstep, feelings of being watched, upstairs doors closing by themselves.
On April 4, 2009 the KTP team investigated a private residence located in Hickman, KY. We conducted an initial walk through with the client, concentrating on the upstairs of the home. As explained to us by the resident, most of the activity was being experienced upstairs and especially in the east bedroom (the Pink Room) and a storage area in the front of the home. We set up our video equipment using one camera in the west bedroom, (the Blue Room), one in the Pink Room, one in the storage area, and one in the basement of the home. We also utilized wireless audio equipment in the storage room.
After setting up and going "lights out", Chris and Matt ascended the stairs and started the investigation in the Blue Room. Using digital voice recorders, we began our initial EVP sessions and also swept the room with and EMF Meter and IR thermometer. Finding the temperature to be a constant 67-70 degrees and the EMF flat, we settled in to proceed with the EVP session. This session lasted around 15 minutes with no personal experiences occurring. We concluded the initial investigation of the Blue Room and moved into the Pink Room for additional EVP sessions. These sessions lasted about 20 minutes, with nothing of note happening during the sessions. It was then decided by Chris and I that it was time to take a good hard look at the upstairs doors that the client had told us closed on their own and try to debunk the claims.
We started in the Blue Room and quickly discovered that due to the house slanting back on it's foundation, that the door in the Blue Room would actually slam closed with only the slightest touch! All it took was a slight nudge, and the door moved pretty violently to a closed position. Moving into the Pink Room, we tried the same approach with the door as we had in the Blue Room. Our results were not the same, as this Pink Room door needed much more force to get it to close. We had been told by the client that the person who slept in this room always slept with a floor fan turned on. We turned the fan on low, and the door started waving back and forth. When we switched the fan on high, the door actually closed on it's on! We tried this several times with the same result each time. Chris and I then made the call that the doors closing on their own claim had been debunked, as they would close without the assistance of the paranormal.
After our door debunking, Chris and I left the investigation area to allow the rest of the KTP team their chance. The team of Christie, Jenny, and Lisa then proceeded to the upstairs area for EVP sessions. Starting in the Pink Room, an experiment was set in motion using a flashlight. In an attempt to get a spirit to communicate with them, they rigged a flashlight to where the slightest touch would cause the light to come on. Unfortunately, nothing wanted to communicate with them, as the flashlight stayed dark. After a lengthly EVP session, the KTP ladies moved into the storage room for additional EVP sessions. After another lengthly EVP session with no personal experiences, Christie, Jenny and Lisa exited the main investigation area.
Chris and I then decided to conduct an EMF sweep of the basement and also conduct an EVP session while there. Once again, the EMF meter stayed flat and their were no personal experiences to report. We then returned to the Pink Room and upstairs storage area to continue investigating. Using our digital voice recorder, more EVP sessions were conducted. We also tried to entice any entities to "play" with us by using a ball and several toy Easter eggs as "bait". We also attempted the flashlight experiment at the same time. Again, it seemed like nothing was willing to play along, as the balls and eggs stayed in the same spots, and the flashlight stayed dark. We concluded our part of the investigation after another 45 minutes and left the area to Lisa, Christie, and Jenny.
Jenny, Lisa, and Christie returned to the upstairs and conducted EVP sessions. They swept the entire upstairs over the course of the 45 minutes, with no personal experiences to report.
Findings and Conclusions:
Over the course of the investigation, KTP recorded almost 20 hours of video and over 5 hours of audio. We were able to debunk the claims of doors slamming by themselves. After pouring over all of the evidence, we have concluded that no paranormal activity was present in the home during our investigation. We recorded no EVPs, caught nothing on video, and had no personal experiences. Due to the absence of any credible evidence, we cannot label this residence as haunted.
